Tour de Georgia Team Time Trial

Dave Z and the winning team!

George Hincapie signing a few autographs.

Gotta love an argyle B-mer!

Chris Horner pleases a few of his fans.

Like 'em or not they've got a classy looking rig for their guys!

Chris Horner doing his warm up laps.

For perspective purposes...they are at the bottom and I am only about HALF way up the climb!

Cheering a BMC rider to the top!

Highroad leaving the start line and heading for that first climb!

Lightspeed's Tour de Georgia limited edition bike.

A little Merlin eye candy!

George's booth for official TdG jerseys was busy busy busy!

And still MORE argyle!

Johan riding shotgun!

Dave Z hitches a ride during warm-up laps!

A little perspective on the opening climb!

Again, the climb! Remember, this climb was repeated FOUR times!

Out of the shadows....

...and into the light, even these three guys had all they could handle on this 15%-or so climb! It was fun to watch an event where even the best have to work a little...sort of like watching pro golfers struggle on a US Open course!

Tyler Hamilton works the climb!

Nice spares!

Nice bikes!

Coooooool wheel!

Go Levi !

Astana about half way up the climb....below them is the shoot that they have just come through after leaving the start house....15%, a wonderful way to start...yeah, right!

ALMOST to the top!

George...

...George...

...George!

A nice shot of the curve from the start to the bottom of the climb.

At 180 mph it didn't take this guy long to be "here and gone!"...but he wasn't as fast as THIS next guy!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just pretty effin' cool is all I can say about these two guys!

Argyle....about as conservative as the previous two guys were radical!

Health Net at the bottom of the big climb and CRANKIN'!

NOT as fast as the previous motorcycle...but for the guy in the back it probably seemed MUCH faster!

Health Net through the second half of the
"S" curve.
Mavic neutral support followed each team throughout each of their laps.

Bissell through the second half of the first set of curves.

Here comes some coffee...looks like the guy in the back could have used a second cup!

Always liked their kit!

Team CSC crests the climb and start on the way down....

...and immediately starts looking for those big rings...some teams opted for 54-55 tooth big rings!

You plan and plan all day and then some yo-yo stands up in front of you...oh well, so much for a nice shot of Tyler Hamilton leading the Rock Racing downhill charge!

The big rig that hauls Michael Ball's boutique store...lots of tee's but, sorry, no jeans!

No, that's NOT me! I had the chance to do this but 60 mph at 60 years of age isn't my chosen way to die!

The Jelly Bellies do the climb...like Jittery Joe's, I have always like JB's kit, too! My granddaughter wants the car!

Toyota United...and their team car!

Still MORE cool bikes....and MORE ARGYLE!

Bissell...haulin' a$$!

Gotta get rider's #2 and 4 some shoe covers, they're messin' up my symmetry!

"Down in front, please!"

CSC hammerin'!

This guy WAS as close to me as he looks...he hit those little rumble strips by the edge of the track and scared the crap out of me!...TOO CLOSE!

I don't know what speed teams were reaching on this curve but I DO know they were all hummin' big time!

California plates....just figures, doesn't it?!!

"That's all folks!"
